Editorial photography is about more than just the pose; it’s about the atmosphere. There is an unmistakable energy to a London city wedding, and I recently had the pleasure of capturing that magic at The Ministry.

Participating in this workshop, organized by The Creative Edit and led by the talented Akilah & Co, was a highlight of my season. The day was a celebration of diversity within the luxury market, bringing together a team of talented creatives that I feel truly privileged to have worked alongside.

The Victorian factory aesthetic provided the perfect raw backdrop for high-fashion bridal editorial. As a London wedding photographer, I am constantly inspired by how these industrial spaces can be transformed into intimate, ethereal playgrounds.

Industrial Luxe: The Setting

The Ministry isn't your typical London wedding venue. Tucked away in Borough, it’s a converted Victorian factory where exposed brick meets sleek, contemporary design. For this session, the white Space was used for its flooding natural light and original concrete floors, the perfect "blank canvas" for a high-fashion ceremony setup.

The Ethereal Bride: A Study in Texture

The heart of this shoot was the bride’s ethereal beauty modelled by the exquisite Sarah Salean. We moved away from traditional bridal looks to embrace something more poetic and high-fashion.

The standout feature was an intricate beaded veil by Crazy in love Bridal that acted as a luminous crown, catching the soft light against the industrial backdrop. Paired with a structured lace gown by Twenty Two Bridal and delicate pearl accessories, the look felt timeless yet distinctly modern.

The structured lace of the gown found its perfect match in the sculptural flower centerpieces and floating installation by granduerblooms where delicate dried textures and unexpected copper tones mirrored the luminous quality of the beaded veil.

Attention to details

The reception styling was a masterclass in modern editorial design, featuring an architectural champagne tower and an abundance of fresh, sun-ripened peaches. This intentional blend of fruit and glass created a textured, fine-art atmosphere that perfectly complemented the industrial backdrop of The Ministry. State of the art centre piece

Taking center stage was a truly state-of-the-art wedding cake, featuring delicate, wave-like sugar work that mirrored the ethereal movement of our bride’s beaded veil. This sculptural masterpiece by Meera Makes served as more than just a dessert; it was a high-fashion focal point that elevated the entire editorial aesthetic.

A love for the Cinematic

My approach to photography is rooted in a love for cinematic storytelling and the timeless, nostalgic grain of film. I believe that an editorial aesthetic is found in the quiet, intentional details.

During this session, I gravitated towards the delicate fall of the beaded veil, the sculptural curve of the centrepiece and the beauty of the light casting shadowsor a fleeting, unscripted moment of vintage-inspired romance.

By blending a fine-art eye with a focus on these intimate textures, I create a gallery that feels as much like a curated film as it does a wedding day. For me, it is those small, 'state-of-the-art' details that truly transform a celebration into a lasting piece of art.

THE POWER OF COLLABORATION

Beyond the lens, the true magic of this day was the opportunity to collaborate alongside some of the most talented minds in the industry. Being part of a creative session with The Creative Edit reminded me why I love what I do: it’s about more than just a beautiful image; it’s about community, support, and the collective spark of shared inspiration. I’ve always believed that our industry thrives when we lift each other up, and I am so grateful for the chance to learn from and grow with such an incredible team of vendors.
